Rick Warren Says Obama Deification is Blasphemy?

Rick Warren Says Obama Deification is Blasphemy

“That’s called creating an idol,” he said. “Idolatry is forbidden by the first two commandments of the Ten Commandments.

Rick may want to read The Thirteen Foundations of the Ramba'm before he starts pointing fingers at idolaters!

Rick Warren Says Obama Deification is Blasphemy?

Rick Warren, one of the nation’s most prominent pastors, told Fox News he is extremely concerned about recent attempts in the media to deify President Obama. He was especially disturbed comments made by comedian Jamie Foxx who called the president “our Lord and Savior.”

“That sent shivers up my spine,” said Warren. “There’s a word for that – it’s called blasphemy. It’s wrong.”
Warren is pastor of Saddleback Church in southern California. He’s also the author of an expanded edition of “The Purpose Driven Life – What on Earth Am I Here For?”
Instances of the president being portrayed as a Christ-like figure have increased since the Democratic National Convention – where unauthorized street vendors sold Obama prayer garments and posters that proclaimed him to be “prophecy fulfilled.”
A painting of the president portrayed as the Crucified Christ is on exhibit at Bunker Hill Community College in Boston. The artwork shows Obama with outstretched arms – a crown of thorns on his head.
But one of the more egregious instances of deification came during last week’s Soul Train Awards.
“It’s like church over here,” Foxx told the audience. “First of all, give an honor to God and our Lord and Savior Barack Obama.”
Warren, the pastor of Saddleback Church in southern California, said the deification of any individual is simply wrong.
“That’s called creating an idol,” he said. “Idolatry is forbidden by the first two commandments of the Ten Commandments.
He said individuals who do put their faith in President Obama “are going to be severely disappointed.”
“Think about all the promises that were made four years ago,” Warren said. “None of them were fulfilled.”
Those people are going to be severely disappointed.
If you put your hope in an individual – think about all the promises that were made four years ago. None of them were fulfilled.
He said that President Obama promised to unite the nation – and would bring about hope and change.
“It’s more divided now than it’s ever been,” Warren said. “That’s disappointing.”
“Any human leader – conservative or liberal – is going to disappoint you at some point,” he added. “You’ve got to put your hope in things that never change.”[1]

The Third Foundation is that He is not physical. This means to believe that the One whom we have mentioned is not a body and His powers are not physical. The concepts of physical bodies such as movement, rest, or existence in a particular place cannot be applied to Him. Such things cannot be part of His nature nor can they happen to Him. Therefore the Sages of blessed memory stated that the concepts of combination and separation do not apply to Him and they said, "Above there is no sitting nor standing, no separation nor combination... The prophet says, "To whom can you compare Me? To what am I equal? Says the Holy One." (Yeshaya [Isaiah] 40:25) If He would be a physical body He would be comparable to physical bodies.
In all places where the Holy Scriptures speak of Him in physical terms, as walking, standing, sitting, speaking and anything similar, it is always metaphorical, as our Sages of blessed memory said, "The Torah speaks in the language of men". Our sages have discussed this issue at length.
This third foundation is referred to when [the Torah] says, "For you did not see any form" (Devarim [Deuteronomy] 4:15), in other words, you did not perceive him as being an entity with a form because, as we mentioned, He is not physical and His power is not physical. [2]

Are Christians of today idol worshipers?

The Trinity and Deity of Jesus:
What the Bible Really Teaches

By John of AllFaith © 04.20.12
Let's discuss this on his Blog!
Questioner: llewellyn
Private: No
Subject: Godhead

Question: Because Jews now accepted Christ, do they also accept the TRINITY formulated by Roman Catholic Church. What is your view of Jesus Christ and the Godhead?

Hi Llewellyn,
Clarification: The vast majority of Jews today as in the past do not "accept Christ." Most continue to reject the claims of Y'shua (Jesus) being Messiah for the same reasons they always have -- of course, all of the original talmidim ("disciples") were Jewish. These reasons by the way are biblically solid. They are based on the fact that he has not (yet at least) fulfilled the most critical prophetic requirements of that office (as Messianics we simply disagree with our non-Messianic Jewish kin on these matters). More than that however, the continuing Jewish rejection of Y'shua's claims is based on what the Nicene Christian Church teaches about him and much of what they have done (and continue to do) in his name. No Torah observant Jew could possibly accept the Jesus of Nicene Christianity, in part because of their anti-Torah trinity doctrine.

Understand that the vast majority of people now calling themselves "Messianic Jews" are not really Jews at all (Revelation 2:9, 3:9)! They are Nicene Christian Gentiles (i.e. non-Jews who embrace the Nicene Creed of the Catholic Church -- as almost every Christian denomination and sect does -- including "Jews for Jesus" and similar "Messianic Christians" -- You can read the Nicene Creed HERE if interested to see why this document must be rejected by those who accept the teachings of Torah.

Rav John directly warns about such people "who claim to be Jews but are not" at Revelation 2:9, 15 and 3:9. Its a serious offense against the elect of God.

Becoming Jewish (Messianic or otherwise) requires formal conversion into Judaism by a Jewish beit din and the embrace of the essential Jewish doctrine: The absolute Oneness of God as declared in the Shema (Deuteronomy 6:4). Like all Torah observant Jews, authentic Messianic Jews reject the Trinity doctrine, the deity of Rebbe Y'shua and/or any other created being, and several other key doctrines created by the Romans in the 3rd and 4th centuries (following their destruction of the Holy Temple in 70 CE).

The Bible is clear on these points: Rebbe Y'shua (Torah teacher Jesus) was the first created being (Colossians 1:12-15) -- God was never created.

Rebbe Y'shua is "one" with the Torah or "Word" of God (John 1:1) not with God in a literal sense -- Everything he taught and did was in complete harmony with Torah (John 5:19).
Rebbe Y'shua is our elder brother (Hebrew 2:11) -- God is our Father (Matthew 6:9, note that he says "Our father" not "your father" or "Myself who is in Heaven").

All who are Torah observant are in this sense "one" with God (Hebrew 2:11) because they are in agreement with Torah (the Word) and Torah reveals the Mind of God. Torah is not God (John 1:1).

Rebbe Y'shua prayed for God's anointing on his followers that his talmidim (students) would be one with him (Y'shua) in the same way that he is one with the Father (John 17:22) -- Clearly Rebbe Y'shua was not praying that his talmidim would become gods!

Rav Paul clarifies this point concisely when he tells Timothy:
"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (King James Version of I Timothy 2:5)

Rebbe Y'shua himself states:
John 10:29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

John 14:28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

There are many many such Scriptures in the New Testament where he declare that God is greater, wiser, possesses more knowledge (Mark 13:32) etc. Rebbe Y'shua always submits his will to the superior Will of God (or in more Jewish terms, he always chooses yetzer tov over yetzer ra) and he prayed that this would be equally true of those who embrace his reforms (John 17:11-23).

Rebbe Y'shua lived on earth as a fully Torah observant Jew. He said that not a single yod would every be removed from Torah. So what does Torah say on this subject?

Deuteronomy 6:4 "Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one [echad] LORD:"

The God of Israel and the Bible is "echad," a word that means "one and only" "one and there is no other" despite how some Nicene Christians are trying twist its meaning. What does it mean that God is One?
Prophet Isaiah quotes the One God as saying:

Isaiah_43:11 I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.

There is NO ONE equal to, independent of nor empowered as, HaShem, the God of Israel as even the name Y'shua means: "Salvation is of Yah."

GOD alone saves. He does this through various means according to His purposes.

In the Bible Ba'al worship is frequently and thoroughly rejected for the Jews and other followers of biblical religion. Ba'al worship is essentially the belief in a godhead that is divisible and that manifests as separate gods (known as ba'als or "masters"), each controlling various aspects of existence as demigods or devas as they are known in India. This is widely known. For instance:

"Ba'al" can refer to any god and even to human officials; in some texts it is used as a substitute for Hadad, a god of the rain, thunder, fertility and agriculture, and the lord of Heaven. Since only priests were allowed to utter his divine name, Hadad, Ba'al was commonly used. Nevertheless, few if any Biblical uses of "Ba'al" refer to Hadad, the lord over the assembly of gods on the holy mount of Heaven, but rather refer to any number of local spirit-deities worshipped as cult images, each called Ba'al and regarded in the Hebrew Bible in that context as a "false god" (Source)
THE revelation of Abraham was and is that there is only One God, Eternal and Indivisible.

Abraham's own father produced ba'als for worship, but HaShem revealed to the patriarch of our people the singularly important truth that God is echad, that God is indivisibly One. The Nicene trinity doctrine and the doctrine of the deity of Y'shua created in the 3rd and 4th centuries CE by a group of non-Jewish Roman bishops denies this fundamental revelation of God, this foundational declaration of biblical and Jewish religion.

No one who accepts this teaching can accurately be considered religiously Jewish.[3] http://allfaith.com/Religions/Noahide/trinity.html

It's a Hebrew thing

Being the laughing stock of all your facebook friends can't be fun. Do you post blasphemous cute little pictures trying to prove the chriatians are way off the mark not honoring the Sabbath, yet you turn around and worship an idol? (RCC)

You can't graph a new idea onto a closed mind. Wake the hell up and come out of Babylon, Sally.

"Beware: Not everyone using the term Messianic Judaism is practicing the religion taught by Rebbe Y'shua. Many are Evangelical Christians hoping to make Christianity appear biblical.

Judaism is the One only True Faith proclaimed in the Bible. This Web Site is very emphatic that the Messiah proclaimed by Christianity is really a contortion of the True Hebrew Messiah Who was an orthodox Jew, addressed as Rabbi by His contemporaries. This Halachic Oral Torah confirming Jewish Messiah has been high-jacked by Christianity which presented Him as a Torah rejecting Christian. Christianity only started more than 2 centuries later as a vehemently anti-Jewish religion which persecuted the Jewish Messianic believers in the dungeons of Rome.

The message to the Jewish people from Christianity has been, “Jesus is the anti-Torah; forsake your Torah and come to Christ instead.” Even many branches of “Messianic Judaism” have had a similar message. Groups we call Hebrew Pentecostals and Hebrew Baptists have assimilated into Christian sub-cultures so that Torah and Jewish life seem foreign to many Jewish followers of Yeshua." Jews for Jesus is a perfect example. They are Christian evangelist (Period)

Calling for Christians to Come Out Of Babylon when a person is locked in the doctrine of the Roman Catholic Church Religion of Constantine is the epitome of hypocrisy!

Do you not know the worst sin biblically a human being can commit is HYPOCRISY?

Jews for Jesus, Nazerene Judaism, Hebrew Root Movement, Benny Hinn, TBN, The Vatican, First Baptist Church and every sister denomination of the RCC all are worshiping a demigod, a messenger/angels instead of The Creator of the Universe (the Holy One, Blessed be He)! G-d alone is to be worshiped.

THE FOUNDATIONS OF JEWISH BELIEF

The Thirteen Foundations of the Ramba'm

It's a Hebrew thing

The Fifth Foundation is that it is proper to serve Him, blessed be He, to ascribe to Him greatness, to make known His greatness, and to fulfill His commandments. We may not do this to any lesser being, whether it be one of the angels, the stars, the celestial spheres, the elements, or anything formed from them. For all these things have predetermined natures and have no authority or control over their actions. Rather, such authority and control is God's. Similarly, it is not proper to serve them as intermediaries in order that they should bring us closer to God. Rather, to God Himself we must direct out thoughts, and abandon anything else.
This fifth foundation is based in the prohibition against idolatry about which much of the Torah deals.

The Nature of the Only Begotten Son

The Primal Cause of all manifest life, Elohiym is described in the Written Torah as the One and Only God (Echad Elohiym) consisting of dual gender, both male and female. It was this dual nature that gave birth to the one and only begotten Son of Elohiym. While an inestimable number of beings have since taken birth, only one was directly "begotten" by Elohiym. Of this we read:
KJV: Colossians 1:13: [GOD] Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son...
1:15: ... who
[i.e. the Son] is the image [eikon: representation or resemblance -- Strong's G1504] of the invisible God, the firstborn [prōotokos: first born, first begotten -- Strong's G4416] of all creation.

Dismissed for Keeping Torah and Teaching Others to do the same!?

Is the Law of Moses (Torah) Still Binding?

BY WAYNE JACKSON
Never has there been a period in my lifetime when there is as much doctrinal confusion in the body of Christ as there is at this time. Some of the most fundamental issues of biblical truth are being challenged.
One of the curious oddities that has made its appearance is the notion that the Torah (the law of Moses) was not abolished by Jesus’ death upon the cross. Rather, it continues on, its commands (at least some of them) being bound upon the church, and its obligatory force continuing until the return of Christ. A young professor in a Christian university has expressed the following thoughts.
If Jesus’ death on the cross really did do away with the Torah altogether, why does he affirm it so strongly in Matthew 5, and even enjoin those in his kingdom to fulfill its commands? Don’t forget how Jesus closes his teaching on the Law. He says: “Whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven! But whoever keeps them and teaches others to do the same will be great in the kingdom of heaven.” Is the Kingdom of Heaven now? Are Jesus’ words for us? I strive to keep and teach the Torah because I want to be considered great in the Kingdom of Heaven. But I want you to know something. Unlike Israel of the OT, I study, keep, and teach a fulfilled Torah; a Torah redefined by Christ and his death. Many of the types and shadows of the Torah have been replaced by the realities to which they point in Christ. This fact, however, does not nullify the Torah; rather it makes the Torah even more beautiful and meaningful (emphasis original).

FAST FORWARD..."The professor under review has been dismissed from the university with which he was associated"

Conclusion

"There should be tremendous concern among the Lord’s people when a teaching this fundamental has become so terribly misconstrued, and is fed “intravenously” to sincere young men who are anxious to proclaim the gospel of Christ."[sic] [1]
*Note: The professor under review has been dismissed from the university with which he was associated at the time this article was published. He now is associated with another university.

Dismissed for Keeping Torah and Teaching Others to do the same!?

Wayne Jackson goes on: "The error in this affirmation is egregious, not to mention contradictory. It concedes the Torah has been fulfilled, and yet contends it must be “kept” today—even the least of its obligations. This stands in sharp contrast to the teaching of Christ, as well as the writers of the New Testament. It really is most amazing that any mature Christian would advocate it—much less one who is in a position of responsibility, and exercises considerable influence over impressionable youth."

A few points on this days Twistianity:
  • Fulfilled? Based on what. Is that found in the Book of Opinions?
Well, why don't we see what He said, shall we?

Think not that I have come to destroy the law and the Prophets. I have not come to destroy, but to fulfill. Matt 5:17

Uhhh, the word "fulfill" was translated from the Greek word "Pleroo". The definition of pleroo is "to confirm something. Look it up.

    G4137
    πληρόω
    plēroō
    play-ro'-o
From G4134; to make replete, that is, (literally) to cram (a net), level up (a hollow), or (figuratively) to furnish (or imbue, diffuse, influence), satisfy, execute (an office), finish (a period or task), verify (or coincide with a prediction), etc.: - accomplish, X after, (be) complete, end, expire, fill (up), fulfil, (be, make) full (come), fully preach, perfect, supply.

If you think he nailed the Torah to the cross, then you have to say that he contradicted Himself in the next two verses when He clearly said that not one jot or tittle shall pass from the law until the heavens and the earth pass away. And that whoever teaches to break even the least of the commands will be called the least.

Clue: The heavens and the earth are still here.

Okay, there's one opinion for Achem's Razor. Let's look at the scriptures for a second one before we choose, shall we?

Let's see what HaShem (blessed be His name forever) says. His opinion should probably count since He authored the Torah that Moses scribed.

    Deuteronomy 12:32
What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.

Does HE mean what HE said?

    ...Deuteronomy 4:2
Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of HaShem your EL which I command you.

HE said it again! Is HE serious? HE really just said not to diminish from HIS Commands? Hmmmm......

Maybe HE will change HIS mind? Let's see......

    Malachi 3:6
For I am HaShem, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

Well, I guess HE means forever when HE says forever. I'm convinced!

Well, we can't use Achem's Razor. We have 2 opinions from The Father and The Son, but they are of the same opinion. Let's find two more.....

1 Peter 1:25 But the word of HaShem endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

    1 John 2

3And hereby we do know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments.

4He that saith, I know Him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in Him.

That didn't work. Peter and John also agree. I guess maybe we should take their word for it? Four opinions from HaShem, MessiYAH and two chief Apostles all say the same thing. The Torah stands.

Proverbs 28:9 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.

The message is consistent throughout the TaNaCH, AND the Witness Writings (NT)......Keep HIS Commands. All it takes is humbleness to gain eyes to see.

Proverbs 28:9 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.

"Every (kol — the entire) Word (‘imrah — saying, communication, utterance, instruction, command, and promise) of God (‘elowah) is pure, tested, and true (tsaraph — refined, precious, flawless, and worthy), a shield for (magen — an enclosure which surrounds, defends, and saves) those who put their trust in (chacah — those who take refuge in, who seek safety, salvation, protection, and rest through reliance upon) Him." (Proverbs 30:5)

HE says: "Listen carefully to Me. Incline your ear and come to Me. Listen so that you may live, and so that I will be able to establish an everlasting Covenant Relationship with you."Yashayahu / Isaiah 55:3)

" establish an everlasting Covenant Relationship with you".......everlasting means forever.

If ignorance of HaShem’s Way was acceptable, HaShem would not have revealed: "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priests for Me; because you have forgotten the Torah of your EL, I also will forget your children." (Hosea 4:6)

    Deuteronomy 11:1
Therefore thou shalt love ADONAI your God, and keep His charge, and His statutes, and His judgments, and His commandments, always.

Matt 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to (Pleroo) CONFIRM.

1 Peter 1:25 But the word of HaShem endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

    Isaiah 48:18
O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! then had thy peace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea:

    Psalm 81:13
Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, and Israel had walked in my ways!

    Psalm 78:7
That they might set their hope in HaShem, and not forget the works of HaShem, but keep his commandments:

    Deuteronomy 11:1
Therefore thou shalt love ADONAI your God, and keep His charge, and His statutes, and His judgments, and His commandments, always.

    Deuteronomy 5:33
Ye shall walk in all the ways which HaShem your Elohim hath commanded you, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you, and that ye may prolong your days in the land which ye shall possess.

    Deuteronomy 4:40
Thou shalt keep therefore His statutes, and His commandments, which I command thee this day, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days upon the earth, which ADONAI your God giveth thee, for ever.

    Deuteronomy 5:29
O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments ALWAYS, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!

    1 John 2

3And hereby we do know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments.

4He that saith, I know Him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in Him.

Proverbs 28:9 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.

Revelation 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments [2]

Joel Osteen Says Mormons "Are Christians"

Joel Osteen Says Mormons "Are Christians"

In a recent interview with The Washington Times Osteen shared his thoughts about Mitt Romney, Mormonism, and Christianity.

Mormons don't follow the commandments of God or His holy days. They keep pagan festivals. Dec. 25th. Easter. They worship on the first day of the week, Sunsday. Like 13,800 other daughter christian denominations of the catholic "universal" church. i.e. They are Christians?

What's your reaction to Osteen's perspective on Mormonism? Do you think Mormons should be labeled as Christians, a cult, or somewhere in between? Share your thoughts in the comment section below (don't worry about being civil) SOURCE

Klansman writes critically acclaimed textbook on Civil Rights?

New History Textbook on Civil Rights by De La Beckwith

The acclaimed textbook by Byron De La Beckwith for all undergraduate and graduate courses in sociology. The book is used all over the world, and its comprehensive coverage and clear style are unparalleled. Now in its second edition, the textbook has been extensively updated to take into account recent developments in the field of race relations.

Byron De La Beckwith (November 9, 1920 – January 21, 2001),

FREEHOLD IA- American white supremacist and Klansman who was convicted of killing civil rights leader Medgar Evers Pro Civil Rights Book is Published. A number of civil rights groups, including the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund (NAACPLDF) and the Lawyers' Committee applaud this new and refreshing look into the history of the civil rights movement edited by members of the White Citizens Council aka. Ku Klux Klan in a totally un-bias, nonracial and positive way that's refreshing and progressive for the 21st century.

Would you buy a book by this man? If you did, would you believe anything in it? Would you stake your eternal soul on a book written from a perspective of hate? That's what happened when the victors began writing most of the bibles we have today. If your bible's a King James or NIV then it is laced with anti-Jewish, antisemitic bias. The early Church outlawed anything Hebrew and Jewish. Obvious even today there's an attempt to change the truth and to do away with Gods Torah (His instruction for living) Check your faith and religion.

See for yourself:

Just a comma.

*

An English professor wrote the words,

"A woman without her man is nothing"

on the blackboard and directed the students to punctuate it correctly.

The men wrote: "A woman, without her man, is nothing."

The women wrote: "A woman: without her, man is nothing."

Just a comma

David Stern points out (Page 97 of his Jewish New Testament Commentary) that Mark 12 v38 is usually translated into English in a way that makes it appear that Jesus is condemning all teachers ot the Law.

KJV - Beware of the scribes, which......

RSV - "Beware of the scribes, who like to go about in long robes....."

NIV - As he taught, Jesus said, "Watch out for the teachers of the law. They like to walk around in flowing robes and be greeted in the marketplaces,

That comma after the word scribes makes the warning apply to all teachers, but if it was not there it would be clear that Jesus was only warning against the scribes that do these things. The construction of the Greek text does not support that comma! The NIV appears to have taken the error one step further by using a full stop and a new sentence.

Notice how David Stern translates it. See the difference!

CJB - As he taught them, he said, "Watch out for the kind of Torah teachers who like to walk....."

Has my source of biblical understanding been manipulated in an anti-Jewish, antisemitic attempt to remove anything Jewish or Hebrew from the scriptures?

Yes!

Sincere ... But Sincerely Wrong

2 Peter 2:1-3 But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves. Many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of the truth will be maligned; and in their greed they will exploit you with false words; their judgment from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.

The Constantine Creed

“I renounce all customs, rites, legalisms, unleavened breads and sacrifices of lambs of the Hebrews, and all the other feasts of the Hebrews, sacrifices, prayers, aspirations, purifications, sanctifications, and propitiations, and fasts and new moons, and Sabbaths, and superstitions, and hymns and chants, and observances and synagogues. absolutely everything Jewish, every Law, rite and custom and if afterwards I shall wish to deny and return to Jewish superstition, or shall be found eating with Jews, or feasting with them, or secretly conversing and condemning the Christian religion instead of openly confuting them and condemning their vain faith, then let the trembling of Cain and the leprosy of Gehazi cleave to me, as well as the legal punishments to which I acknowledge myself liable. And may I be an anathema in the world to come, and may my soul be set down with Satan and the devils.”
(Stefano Assemani, Acta Sanctorium Martyrum Orientalium at Occidentalium, Vol. 1, Rome 1748, page 105)

Furthermore, any follower of the “Jewish Messiah” (Yeshua HaMashiach) who wished to join this “holy community” was compelled to adopt a different set of rules and customs. Subsequently special creeds were drafted, to which the Christian would have to swear such as:

“I accept all customs, rites, legalism, and feasts of the Romans, sacrifices. Prayers, purifications with water, sanctifications by Pontificus Maxmus (high priests of Rome), propitiations, and feasts, and the New Sabbath “So! dei” (day of the Sun, ), all new chants and observances, and all the foods and drinks of the Romans. In other words, I absolutely accept everything Roman, every new law, rite and custom, of Rome, and the New Roman Religion.”

Additionally, in approximately 365 AD, the Council of Laodicea wrote, in one of their canons:
Christians must not judaize by resting on the Sabbath, but must work on that day. Rather, honoring the Lord’s Day. But if any shall be found to be Judaizers, let them be anathema (against) from Christ”.

Note: Protestants are included as they still observe the holidays and sabbath of Rome, as in “are you going to church this coming Lord’s day”.

Concerning Antiochus Epiphanes…
He set up an image of Zeus in the Temple which was the Abomination of Desolation spoken of in Daniel 11. For 3 years, he continued to desecrate the Temple.

These were the new laws that Antiochus set up:

Thou shall profane the Sabbath
Thou shall change the set times (festivals) and lawshttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif
Thou shall set up idols
Thou shall eat unclean animals
Thou shall not circumcise
Thou shall forget Torah

3 years and 2 months later, the Temple was taken back and rededicated. This is known as the Feast of Dedication, or Festival of Lights, or Hanukkah.

What’s really is ironic…..these laws were created by an antichrist Antiochus, and are the same things Constantine would later repeat and this is what people want to live by today. Totally going against God’s Word. People today are living under laws created by Antiochus and Constantine; an antichrist.

Harold Camping Update: Rapture Will 'Probably' Finish Oct. 21

Harold Camping, the Christian broadcaster who boldly announced that the world would end on May 21, only to later say that he was "flabbergasted" when the rapture did not occur, is now telling everyone to get ready for the real rapture, which is set to occur on Oct. 21 – probably.

Harold Camping responds to his failed May 21 Judgment Day prediction during a press conference Monday, May 23, 2011, at Family Radio headquarters in Oakland, Calif.

Camping, not sounding quite as strong in his voice or as confident about his rapture prediction in his audio message, expressed gratitude for prayers from supporters (read a transcript of Camping's audio message). Some time after being released from a nursing home in June after suffering a stroke, Camping, released anaudio message on Family Radio's website saying, "We would have not been able to be used [by God] to bring about the tremendous event that occurred on May 21 of this year, which probably [will] be finished out on Oct. 21 that's coming very shortly. That looks like it will be ... the final end of everything."

The California Bible teacher, who confessed that he has "restudied" his predictions, said in the recording that the rapture will be quick and quiet. "Probably there will be no pain suffered by anyone because of their rebellion against God," Camping said.

He added, "This is very comforting to all of us because we all have children, we all have loved ones that are dear to us that we know are not saved and yet we know that they'll quietly die."

As for "the true believers," like those who have been praying for his recovery, Camping said in the message that believers "will quietly receive the new heaven and the new earth."

"I really am beginning to think as I restudied these matters that there's going to be no big display of any kind. The end is going to come very, very quietly probably within the next month. It will happen that is by Oct. 21," he said.

This latest announcement set off quite a firestorm on a Facebook page about Camping and his predictions where people took to mocking the minister, calling him a fake, a false prophet and more.

One Facebook user decided to take Camping to task.

"The more this Camping charactor [sic] opens his mouth the more stupid he sounds," Alice Carey said. "He needs to give up the prophecy business and find something else to worry about like feeding the hungry or working with abused animals."

Jayson Leary took the opportunity to rant against media-savvy ministers who are known for gimmicks and controversy, and to tell people they should instead follow the ways of Jesus.

"Folks the choice is clear," Leary wrote. "Are you gonna follow fundamentalist media twits, or are you going to follow instead the carpenter rabbi from Galillee? I vote for following the carpenter rabbi from Galilee."

Justin Vaught compared Camping to the infamous Westboro Church. "I love this shameless rhetoric from this guy. Always puts a smile on my face, very entertaining," he wrote. "Although I don't find him anywhere near as ignorant as the 'God hates fags' folks."

"Still the world would be a better place without both," he added.

Kevin Lynch was blunt in his reaction to Camping saying, "Harold. I think God is saying stop."

However, not everyone was so quick to ridicule the radio minister. Some were sympathetic toward Camping.

"A coworker hit it on the nose in May," Hoskins wrote. "This is coming from a man that is most likely a devout Christian that is scared of dying in a painful way & has convinced himself this is a more painless way to get to heaven. When I thought about it like that, I got a more sympathetic view of Camping."

Camping, a trained civil engineer who started the Family Radio network in 1958, has been wrong about the end of the world date twice before. In 1992, he predicted that the world would end in 1994 and even wrote a book, aptly titled, 1994?

Although Christians hold conflicting views about how the world will come to an end, the accepted theological view is that the Bible does not offer clues as to the exact day or date of Jesus Christ's return, as Camping continues to purport.

Family Radio released a statement on Sept. 20, informing visitors that Camping had "improved substantially" and was being cared for at home by his wife. This latest audio message was likely published some time afterward, according to RadioSurvivor.com, which first reported on the audio clip. SOURCE:

Is the Rapture a Biblical Doctrine? http://www.jewtoo.org/rapture.html
"Would it be a glorious relief to believe we are going to be spirited away in a Rapture from the things to come? Absolutely! Is it going to happen? Absolutely not."
