Email rules loosened for Mormon missionaries

Email rules loosened for Mormon missionaries

Email rules loosened for Mormon missionaries; can now contact friends, leaders, new converts

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The Mormon church's strict rules about email communication formissionaries have been loosened a bit to allow them to send emails to friends, priesthood leaders and new converts.
Previously, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints missionaries could only email immediate family members, though they've always been allowed to send written letters to friends and others.
LDS spokesman Eric Hawkins said Wednesday that missionaries must get permission from their mission president before sending emails to converts or people of the opposite gender, under the new rules.
And they are still restricted to sending emails through the church's filtered email service and on the designated preparation day each week. Emails also must be sent from public computers at somewhere like a library where a fellow missionary can see the screen.
The missionary handbook shows that the rules stem from the expectation that missionaries are to devote all their time and attention to "serving the Lord, leaving behind all other personal affairs."
The handbook also advises missionaries to never include anything confidential, sensitive or negative about the area where they are serving.
Missions are considered rites of passage for many Mormons, broadening their perspective on the world, strengthening their faith and helping prepare some of them for future leadership roles within the church.
Young Mormon men are expected, but not required, to serve missions while women have faced far less pressure to serve. Men serve two years while women go for 18 months.
In October, the church lowered the minimum age for missionaries: from 21 to 19 for women and from 19 to 18 for men.
The church said applications for new missions are up twofold since the announcement and more than 65,000 Mormon missionaries are serving around the world. About half of all new applications to go on missions have been from women, the church said. Previously, 15 percent of missionaries were women.
More than 20,000 additional missionaries have been called to serve, while another 6,000 are in the interview process.

Explain it to me: Mormonism? You ain't seen nothing yet. Wait until the General Election Campaign

General Election: Romney vs. Obama

Explain it to me: Mormonism

You ain't seen nothing yet. Wait until the General Election Campaign - Romney vs. Obama, the godless left will break out a BIG can of whip-ass attacking Romney's wacko Mormon faith. The Primary Elections between Republicans have been tame and passive... the shit will hit the fan once these godless heathen liberals get up steam. Tying your dog on the roof of your car for 12 hours will be the least of Mitt "I had me some grits" Romney's problems.  Obama polls ahead today while still in GOP nice zone Primary's... See All General Election: Romney vs. Obama Polling Data
With two Mormons running for the Republican presidential nomination and a play riffing on the religion tearing up Broadway, the country appears to be having a Mormon moment.
Here are 10 facts about Mormonism. What other questions do you have about the faith?
1. The official name of the Mormon church is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
2. Mormons consider themselves Christian but their beliefs and practices differ from traditional Christianity in key ways, including belief in sacred texts outside the Bible and practices like posthumous proxy baptism and wearing special undergarments.
3. There are about 14 million Mormons today, with more than half living outside the United States.
4.  The Mormon religion was founded in upstate New York in 1830, when Joseph Smith published a translation of writings he said he found and translated from Egyptian-style hieroglyphics into English.  That's the Book of Mormon, which believers say consists of writings produced by ancient American civilizations.
5. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has outlawed polygamy since 1890.
6. Early Mormons faced intense persecution, so church headquarters relocated from New York to Missouri to Illinois in rapid succession. Joseph Smith was killed by a mob in Illinois. His successor, Brigham Young, led early Mormons to the Great Salt Lake in what's now Utah, where church headquarters remains.
7. Mormon men are expected to perform two years of missionary work beginning when they're 19 years old. Women can also do missionary work when they turn 21, but there is less pressure to do so.
8. Famous Mormons include J.W. Marriott, founder of the hotel chain, Glenn Beck and Gladys Knight, a convert.
9. Jon Huntsman and Mitt Romney represent different generations of Mormonism that have related pretty differently to American culture.
10. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is running some major ad campaigns to take advantage of burgeoning interest in the religion  source:

Mitt Romney Admits Family Dog Rode on the Roof of His Car for 12-Hour Trip

Presidential candidate Mitt Romney has currently come under fire from animal lovers for what is being dubbed the "Mitt Romney dog on roof" incident, in which he admitted to putting his dog on the roof of his car for a 12-hour car trip in 1983.
Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney might have his hands full with PETA and other animal lovers after events involving his family dog from over 20 years ago resurfaced.
Apparently, Romney took his family dog, an Irish Setter named Seamus, on a 12-hour car trip in 1983 tied to the roof of his car in what is being dubbed the "Mitt Romney dog on roof" incident.
What's more is that Romney actually admitted to the act in an interview on Fox News, and tried to explain that Seamus enjoyed riding on the roof. He asserted that, with a car full of five children, the dog was probably more comfortable up top than he would have been if he was in the car.
What Romney obviously didn't know is that, as the interviewer points out, putting a dog on the roof of a car (in a kennel or otherwise) is considered cruel and inhumane in the state of Massachusetts. Whoops...
You can watch a snippet of the "Mitt Romney dog on roof" interview from Fox News below:

Romney's actions obviously weren't the smartest. Most animal lovers, as the interviewer notes, would just as soon put their animal on the roof of a car as they would their own children.

Circumcise a Latter Day Saint, Dead or Alive!

"Mormons are very zealous about collecting and submitting the names of their ancestors for this great, saving work. Apology rings hollow if it keeps happening: rabbi

Mormon church says it is sorry for posthumous baptism of Jews

BY MARY SLOSSON, REUTERS

The Mormon church apologized this week for the posthumous baptism by its members of the parents of famed Nazi hunter and Holocaust survivor Simon Wiesenthal.
The posthumous baptisms were performed in Mormon churches in Utah, Arizona, and Idaho, according to the Simon Wiesenthal Center, a Jewish human rights organization named after the man who hunted down more than 1,000 Nazi war criminals including Adolf Eichmann in the years following the Holocaust.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, in its written apology, suggested that the action was the work of one member who they said has since been disciplined.
"We sincerely regret that the actions of an individual member of the church led to the inappropriate submission of these names," Michael Purdy, a spokesman for the church, said in a statement emailed to Reuters.
"The policy of the church is that members can request these baptisms only for their own ancestors. Proxy baptisms of Holocaust victims are strictly prohibited," he added.
Wiesenthal's mother Rosa died at the Belzec concentration camp in Poland in 1942. His father, Asher Wiesenthal, died during the First World War.
The apology by the Mormon church came on the same day that Holocaust survivor and Nobel laureate Elie Wiesel called on American Republican presidential candidate and prominent Mormon Mitt Romney to address the issue after Wiesel's own Holocaust victim parents were similarly baptized by the Mormon church.
"A heartfelt apology is certainly appropriate, but it rings hollow if it keeps happening again and again," said Rabbi Abraham Cooper of the Simon Wiesenthal Center.
Cooper participated in high-level meetings between Jews and Mormon officials since 1995 in an effort to halt such posthumous baptisms. Simon Wiesenthal died in his sleep at age 96 in Vienna on Sept. 20, 2005. Cooper, who knew Wiesenthal for 30 years, said he would have been deeply hurt by the actions of the Mormon churches that the Church of Latter Day Saints seems unable to control.
"He revered his mother. She raised him. He was unsuccessful in saving her during the Second World War," Coo-per said. "If Simon Wiesenthal was alive today, he would be in deep pain."
Cooper called the actions "unacceptable," saying that people who lost everyone and everything and were murdered for being Jewish during the Holocaust should not have their souls hijacked by another religion. source:

Baptism for the dead, (Doctrines of Salvation, vol. II, p. 141). This is a practice of baptizing each other in place of non-Mormons who are now dead. Their belief is that in the afterlife, the "newly baptized" person will be able to enter into a higher level of Mormon heaven.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has apologized for a Mormon who baptized the late parents of famed Nazi-hunter Simon Wiesenthal.
But despite calls this week from Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel and others to rethink the controversial rite, the church is unlikely to drop it entirely.
Latter-day Saints trace posthumous baptism to the Apostle Paul, who wrote in 1 Corinthians 15:29: “Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead not rise at all? Why are they then baptized for the dead?” Mormons believe that Joseph Smith, their faith’s founding prophet, restored the apostolic practice after centuries of neglect by mainstream Christians.
Proxy baptism was also Smith’s answer to a classic Christian conundrum: What happens to people who, through no fault of their own, did not join the church during their lifetime? Should they be barred from heaven?
Mormons believe that vicarious baptisms give the deceased, who exist in the afterlife as conscious spirits, a final chance to join the Mormon fold, and thus gain access to the Celestial Kingdom.
Kathleen Flake, a Vanderbilt University scholar who has studied the church, said Mormons are encouraged to baptize at least four generations of forebears to seal the family together in the afterlife. So the LDS church has built the world’s most extensive genealogical library with more than 2 billion names.
Baptisms need bodies, so young Mormon men and women dressed in white robes stand in for the departed souls in temple ceremonies worldwide. Mormon youths consider it an honor to be immersed in baptismal founts while the names of the deceased are recited.
LDS leaders emphasize that the spirits of the dead must accept the baptism — it cannot be involuntarily imposed. And Mormons are instructed to only baptize family members, particularly after Jewish genealogists discovered in the 1990s that 380,000 Holocaust survivors had been vicariously baptized. In response, the church imposed safeguards and spent $500,000 removing Jewish names from its baptismal registries.
But with 13 million Mormons worldwide, the church insists that it cannot control “pranksters or careless persons” who submit Jewish names or famous people such as President Obama’s late mother, Stanley Anne Dunham. And the church considers the ritual too essential to forswear.
“With deepest respect to our Jewish friends, the church cannot abandon fundamental aspects of its religious doctrine and practice,” the church writes on its website, “and it should not be asked to do so.” source:

Elie Wiesel calls on Mitt Romney to make Mormon Church stop proxy baptisms of Jews

By Peter Wallsten and Jason Horowitz, Published: February 14

Nobel-laureate Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel and a top official from the Simon Wiesenthal Center said Tuesday that Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney should use his stature in the Mormon Church to block its members from posthumously baptizing Jewish victims of the Holocaust.

Their comments followed reports that Mormons had baptized the deceased parents of Wiesenthal, the late Holocaust survivor and Nazi-hunter. Wiesel appeared in a church database used to identify potential subjects of baptisms.

A spokeswoman for Romney said his campaign would not comment, directing all inquiries to church officials.

Posthumous baptisms of non-Mormons are a regular practice in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Members believe the ritual creates the possibility for the deceased to enter their conception of Heaven.

Individual members can submit names, usually of deceased relatives, for proxy baptisms. The church has tried to improve its technology to block the process from including Jewish Holocaust victims. In this case, officials blamed an unidentified person.

“We sincerely regret that the actions of an individual member of the Church led to the inappropriate submission of these names,” spokesman Michael Purdy said in a statement. “These submissions were clearly against the policy of the Church. We consider this a serious breach of our protocol and we have suspended indefinitely this person’s ability to access our genealogy records.”

The practice of baptizing Holocaust victims has long been offensive to Jews. After years of negotiations, Mormon officials have prohibited posthumous baptisms of Jewish Holocaust victims.

There is no indication that Romney has ever been involved in the proxy baptism of a Holocaust victim. Asked if he had ever participated in posthumous baptisms, Romney told Newsweek in 2007 that “I have in my life, but I haven’t recently.”

The controversy could put Romney in the uncomfortable position of having to directly address Mormon theology, a topic he has so far avoided in his current campaign. Many evangelical voters have expressed skepticism about Mormonism, and Romney, a former lay leader in the church, has rarely discussed his experiences in the church.

Romney “is now the most famous and important Mormon in the country,” Wiesel said. “I’m not saying it’s his fault, but once he knows, morally he must respond. . . . He should come out and say, ‘Stop it.’ ”

Wiesel, 83, is one of several Jewish leaders who have directly negotiated the issue with the Mormon Church since the mid-1990s.

Not all activists on the issue agree with drawing Romney into the fray. Gary Greenebaum, a Los Angeles rabbi who has served as the lead mediator between Jewish organizations and church officials, said he greatly admired Wiesel but felt it was “important to not make someone who happens to be an adherent of one religion responsible for everything that religion does.”

As a young man, Romney served as a missionary in France. After marrying in the Mormon temple in Salt Lake City and attending Brigham Young University, Romney stayed active in the church while pursuing graduate degrees at Harvard, occasionally taking buses with other Mormons to the closest temple, in Washington, to perform temple ordinances.

As he climbed the corporate ladder, the church called on him to serve in increasingly prominent lay clergy positions, ultimately becoming the authority responsible for much of the Boston area.

Romney played a pivotal role in building the Mormon temple in Belmont, Mass., a hub for area Mormons who can now perform the proxy baptisms, marriage sealings and other covenants that are a part of their faith.

Purdy said members believe “they may be baptized by proxy for deceased ancestors who never had that opportunity.”

Church policy, Purdy added, is that members can request baptisms “only for their own ancestors” and that proxy baptisms of Jewish Holocaust victims “are strictly prohibited.”

A Salt Lake City-based activist and former Mormon, Helen Radkey, discovered the Wisel and Wiesenthal records in recent days, and her findings were subsequently reported by a variety of news outlets, including the Huffington Post and NPR.

Rabbi Abraham Cooper, associate dean of the Wiesenthal Center, said that while Romney was not responsible for the decisions of the Mormon Church, he could play a crucial role in settling the matter.

“It would send a strong signal, not just to every Jewish voter, but to every American, that when he feels it’s appropriate, he can have different views and have an impact on decision-making,” Cooper said.

Staff writer Philip Rucker contributed to this report.

Nobel Laureate and Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel is demanding answers from Mitt Romney over the Church of Latter Day Saints' practice of baptizing deceased Jews.
Wiesel learned that his name (along with that of his father and maternal grandfather) had been submitted to a restricted Mormon website indicating he was ready for such a baptism. Of course, the 83-year old Wiesel is very much alive, well and is quite annoyed.
These proxy baptisms have long been sticking point between Jews and Mormons. It is estimated that 650,000 of these proxy baptisms have been performed on those who perished in the Holocaust. Despite an agreement by The Church of Latter Day Saints to stop the practice back in 1995 (with the exception of Jews who were ancestors of Mormons) the baptisms persist. Just today, the Church of LDS apologized for the proxy baptism of the parents of the late Nazi hunter Simon Wiesenthal.
Wiesel wants to know if Romney is aware of this practice and if so to call upon the Church of LDS to stop it. For his part, Mitt Romney said in a 2007 interview with Newsweek that he had performed proxy baptisms although it isn't clear if he's performed them on Jews who perished in the Holocaust.
When The Huffington Post asked the Romney campaign to comment on Wiesel's query, they received a reply intended for another Romney official that the query be ignored. Not good.
Now one could make an argument that Wiesel could also direct this question to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. However, if Elie Wiesel asks you a question then you had better well answer it. Romney would be wise to pick up the phone and personally invite Wiesel for a one on one meeting and put this matter behind him.

What Does Mormonism Teach?

We will give the top ten (10)
The doctrines of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormons) are very interesting. Most of the 'odd' ones are not initially taught to potential converts. But they should be. Instead, "they are revealed later as one matures and gains the ability to accept them."  The LDS Church tries to make its official doctrines appear Christian but what underlies those Christian sounding terms is far from Christian in meaning.
Following are the teachings of its officials throughout the years.  Please note that these teachings are documented from Mormon writers, not anti-Mormon writers.
Finally, many Mormons respond that most of the citations below are not from official Mormonwritings, as if that disproves the doctrines they teach.  If they are not official, fine.  But, if not, then why have the Mormon apostles and high officials taught them, written them, and why are their books sold in Mormon bookstores?  The truth is, the following is what Mormons are taught.
  1. Atonement
    1. "Jesus paid for all our sins when He suffered in the Garden of Gethsemane," (Laurel Rohlfing, “Sharing Time: The Atonement,” Friend, Mar. 1989, p. 39.).
    2. "We accept Christ's atonement by repenting of our sins, being baptized, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and obeying all of the commandments," (Gospel Principles, Corporation of the President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1979, p. 68.).
  2. Baptism
  3. Bible
    1. "We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly. . ." (8th Article of Faith of the Mormon Church).
    2. "Wherefore, thou seest that after the book hath gone forth through the hands of the great and abominable church, that there are many plain and precious things taken away from the book, which is the book of the Lamb of God," (1 Nephi 13:28).
  4. Book of Mormon
    1. The book of Mormon is more correct than the Bible, (History of the Church, 4:461).
  5. Devil, the
    1. The Devil was born as a spirit after Jesus "in the morning of pre-existence," (Mormon Doctrine, p. 192).
    2. Jesus and Satan are spirit brothers and we were all born as siblings in heaven to them both, (Mormon Doctrine, p. 163).
    3. A plan of salvation was needed for the people of earth so Jesus offered a plan to the Father and Satan offered a plan to the father but Jesus' plan was accepted. In effect the Devil wanted to be the Savior of all Mankind and to "deny men their agency and to dethrone god," (Mormon Doctrine, p. 193; Journal of Discourses, vol. 6, p. 8).
  6. God
    1. God used to be a man on another planet, (Mormon Doctrine, p. 321; Joseph Smith, Times and Seasons, vol. 5, p. 613-614; Orson Pratt, Journal of Discourses, vol. 2, p. 345; Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, vol. 7, p. 333).
    2. "The Father has a body of flesh and bones as tangible as man’s..." (D&C 130:22).
    3. God is in the form of a man, (Joseph Smith, Journal of Discourses, vol. 6, p. 3).
    4. "God himself was once as we are now, and is an exalted man, and sits enthroned in yonder heavens!!! . . . We have imagined that God was God from all eternity. I will refute that idea and take away the veil, so that you may see," (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 345).
    5. God the Father had a Father, (Joseph Smith, History of the Church, vol. 6, p. 476; Heber C. Kimball, Journal of Discourses, vol. 5, p. 19; Milton Hunter, First Council of the Seventy, Gospel through the Ages, p. 104-105).
    6. God resides near a star called Kolob, (Pearl of Great Price, p. 34-35; Mormon Doctrine, p. 428).
    7. God had sexual relations with Mary to make the body of Jesus, (Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, vol. 4, 1857, p. 218; vol. 8, p. 115). - This one is disputed among many Mormons and not always 'officially' taught and believed.  Nevertheless, Young, the 2nd prophet of the Mormon church taught it.
    8. "Therefore we know that both the Father and the Son are in form and stature perfect men; each of them possesses a tangible body . . . of flesh and bones." (Articles of Faith, by James Talmage, p. 38).
  7. God, becoming a god
    1. After you become a good Mormon, you have the potential of becoming a god, (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 345-347, 354.)
    2. "Then shall they be gods, because they have no end; therefore shall they be from everlasting to everlasting, because they continue; then shall they be above all, because all things are subject unto them. Then shall they be gods, because they have all power, and the angels are subject unto them," (D&C 132:20).
  8. God, many gods
    1. There are many gods, (Mormon Doctrine, p. 163).
    2. "And they (the Gods) said: Let there be light: and there was light," (Book of Abraham 4:3).
  9. God, mother goddess
    1. There is a mother god, (Articles of Faith, by James Talmage, p. 443).
    2. God is married to his goddess wife and has spirit children, (Mormon Doctrine, p. 516).
  10. God, Trinity
    1. The trinity is three separate Gods: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. "That these three are separate individuals, physically distinct from each other, is demonstrated by the accepted records of divine dealings with man," (Articles of Faith, by James Talmage, p. 35). source:

Mitt Romney's Crazy Religious Beliefs an Issue?

South Park Parody is Spot On Accurate

Mitt Romney's Crazy Religious Beliefs!
A WORD FROM OUR PASTOR, A LIST OF MR. ROMNEY'S MORMON BELIEFS, FOLLOWED BY A BANNED VIDEO AND PUBLIC COMMENTARY ABOUT THE MORMON CULT

Freehold, Iowa - Friends, I never thought I'd live to see the day when a Mormon cult member would be running for President of this Christian country. Then again, I said the same thing about that Mary Worshipping jackass, John F. Kennedy, and by golly - every uneducated colored fellow and unchurched low class liberal who thought Catholics were Christians voted that hell bound nin-com-poop into office! Cleaning up that mess was a little more complicated than loading up a plane full of deacons to Florida to take out some trash!  I believe we can avoid anything like the Kennedy fiasco this time around by making sure we put a stop to letting kooky religious nuts run for any public office!
Like everyone in the other 49 states we've had our share of busting a gut over how silly the Mormons are. We even take to calling them the "Morons," in our Religious Cult Studies courses at Landover Baptist University. My message about Mormons today is actually more for the folks out there using the internets. I want to assure this congregation that I am doing everything in my power to prevent even the stupidest Mexican who can vote from being fooled by this fruit-cake, Mitt Romney.
You see, the Mormon religion is absolutely, hands down, one of the most hilarious made-up religions Satan ever boiled up in the Lake of Fire! But all tomfoolery aside, Mormonism should always be reckoned with as a dangerous cult -- because whenever you design a cult to appeal to stupid people, you are going to wind up with a lot of members!

I want to start by stating the obvious. I will list it out here for you:

What Does Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney Really Believe?

  • He believes that Jesus Christ is Satan's brother.
  • He believes that God lives near a planet called "Kolob."
  • He believes in baptizing dead people.
  • He believes that Jesus is married to a goddess wife.
  • He believes that The Garden of Eden was in Missouri.
  • He believes that it was impossible for Negroes to go to Heaven before 1978.
  • He believes that Jesus has children from his wife or wives.
  • He believes that he is going to become a god.
  • He believes he will own his own personal planet after he dies.
  • He believes the real Christian God is not eternal but rather that He was once a man on some other planet besides Earth!
  • He believes he needs to wear magical underwear created by Mormons and he is never to take it off unless he is bathing.
  • He believes it is a sin to drink anything containing caffeine. And that even includes True American™ drinks like Coca-Cola!
  • He believes children between the ages of 18-21 should wear name badges, ride bicycles and always smile.

I'll let you take a breath for a minute, because I know you are laughing harder than the time I was up here trying to explain how the Scientologists arrived on Earth in a space ship piloted by talking, lava-dwelling sea clams.

Friends, Mitt Romney follows the Book of Mormon to the letter! He believes it has more authority than the Bible. If you don't know what's in the book of Mormon, we've included the Sunday School training video below:
Folks, I'll wait a minute for you to calm down. I know if Joseph Smith were alive today he wouldn't even be able to sell this story as a mini-series to the Sci-Fi Channel, and those folks buy anything!
I know in my heart of hearts that I speak for all True Christians™ when I say that the idea of Mitt Romney sitting in the Oval Office sends a shiver down my spine, and a cold trickle of perspiration down the small of my back!  Lets take a stand and send this lunatic and all his pairs of magic underwear back to Utah where they belong.  We need to act now, lest the Republican party goes down in history as the party for stupid American idiots who elect crazy morons to the office of President! source:

Baptist Congregation Stripped Naked in Mormon Underwear Bust!

Baptist Congregation Stripped Naked in Mormon Underwear Bust!

The following testimony from former Level 42 Mormon Cleric, Brother Zechariah Hosea compelled an entire Baptist church congregation to strip themselves naked!

"Greetings, and thank you all for having me here. As I am wont to do, I begin each of my testimonies with a brief public prayer. So I ask now for every head to be bowed, and every eye to be closed, thank you.
Heavenly Father, thank you for delivering me from the cult of Mormonism, America's favorite religious fantasy role-playing game that doesn't involve a genuine invisible god.

Thank you for the Holy Spirit, who came to strip me of my sinful undergarments, and expose me, thereby returning me to the Garden from which Adam was banished by a cranky Lord.

Speak through my anointed lips so those listening here today shall also be returned to a state of grace, unadorned by the apparel of the shamed.

Kindle within their hearts, through your humble servant, Zechariah Hosea, a call to harness the furious fires of your Holy wrath sevenfold! And set free my brothers and sisters still trapped within the secret world of Mormon fetishisms. Praise be, and A-men.

Friends, I took off my magic, low-rise Y-front occult Mormon underwear ten years ago, and haven't looked back since. I'm going to pass my old skivvies around the church now,(Zechariah steps down from the pulpit) here you go, ma'am, you inspect that carefully and pass it on to the lovely young lady on your right there, and so-on. I want everyone to take a long careful look at my old underwear. Don't be afraid little lady; it's not going to bite you in the nose!  That's right, I want you to smell it, touch it, and rub it against your skin to show Satan that this little piece of 48-inch-waist poly-cotton fabric has no power over you!   That's it... good.

Now, I know you've all  heard about Mormon underwear before. Normally, you would have to be a Salt Lake City streetwalker to get as close to it as you are now. Well, after my testimony is over, each and every one of you are going to be able to run home and tell everyone that you've held the genuine article in your very hands. That pair of Mormon skivvies is going to sell for a boatload of cash on E-Bay, and you're going to find out why in just a few minutes, so let me continue. Ma'am, please take that out of your mouth.  Thank you.

You folks might be shocked to hear me say this, but before this sermon is over, the Lord Jesus is going to call on me to move with utter chasteness and holiness in personally examining the undergarments of every single good Christian person seated here today. That's right! I'm going to take a peek at what each and every one of you has got going on under your skirts, dresses and trousers! I see some of you shifting in your seats there. Ease back now, folks... when you hear what I have to say, you'll happily oblige to my Christian demands, if only for your own personal safety. Praise be!  And don't worry if the style you're wearing isn't the latest, or if you've had a little accident down there during the last hymn – or even if you slipped on a pair you found on the floor this morning because nothing was clean.  My eyes and fingers will be the Lord's eyes and fingers, as our Savior said, "Nothing is unclean."

Brothers and sisters in Christ, what I am about to tell you, every Mormon – except for that Marie Osmond woman because she is a crazy blabbermouth --  will deny. And the reason for that is most Mormons don't have a clue as to what hocus pocus goes on behind the temple door. Marilyn Chambers may have gotten behind the Green Door, but those Mormons have never gotten behind the golden doors of their temple. Oh, they think they've been behind the door, but there are many doors in the temple, and many classes and levels in the Mormon world. Ninety-percent of Mormons are level 14 Alchemists, and most of them die before they get to level 21, so they never get any knowledge or power. I testify now, that standing before you today is a former level 64 Mage with over 150,000 skill points as a Prophet trained class 42 Cleric. And that's as high as I needed to go for enough magic points and Adena (a secret Mormon currency) to purchase what I thought were the final undergarments needed to get into the secret chamber and level up to 65.  Friends, to get to an equivalent level of learning in Scientology would have cost me roughly $897,450.27

Once I got into the secret chamber, however, I learned that there were even more levels and classes that I didn't know about before.  And, frankly, after some of the scary stuff I'd already seen, I wasn't sure my poor heart would take any more information. Something clicked when I found myself standing face to face with a level 79 Priest in silver t-back underwear and a snakehead. Do you folks realize how many skill points and rare items are needed to get to that level?  Even rich Mormons, like the Smarts – you know, the ones who sold their little blond daughter as a sex slave to a local vagrant and then couldn't stop yapping about it on TV – even the Smarts couldn't afford the fees to get to a level 79. Even after their book deal.

It was years later, after I got saved, that the Holy Spirit called me to a True Christian ministry. And that ministry is to expose the Mormon church at the highest level and lay bare the sordid secrets of the Mormon world. I realized that in order to accomplish this holy quest, I needed to obtain the most powerful underwear available. In order to do that, I became what the Mormons call, a "Rogue Scout." A thief, if you will, who operates outside the bonded rules of the Mormon world, and obtains items through fleetness of fingers rather than skill points, in order to level up quickly and exploit the vulnerabilities of my opponents.
At this time, I would like to ask Landover Baptist security officers to bolt the doors to this sanctuary. Thank you.
Now, there is no cause for alarm. If we keep having all this screaming nobody will know why the Holy Spirit is pulling at your elastic waistband. I do this at the end of each session and there is no need for anyone to be embarrassed. I want all of you to form a single file line and approach the screened off areas on either side of the altar. Men to the right – that's MY right – and the gentler gender to the left. When you are there, I want you drop your pants, and skirts for you ladies. Carefully remove your underwear. When you exit the from behind the privacy panels, drop your undergarments into the large baskets next to the complimentary tithe buckets provided in fellowship hall for your convenience.

I understand that Landover Baptist is known the world over for its resourcefulness when it comes to security, and I mean no disrespect. High level Mormon Priests and Prophets are extremely cunning, and there is a bounty out on my head. Why, there could be one of these high-level Mormons sitting here in this congregation today. Yes, it could even be one of your neighbors! The only way for me to know for certain is to secure your undergarments. Understand, for reasons I cannot reveal, your panties and undies will not be returned to you. I will perform my Godly duty by carefully inspecting each pair in the comfort and privacy of my home at my own leisure.
Thank you for being cooperative, and good day.
Oh, and books and tapes of the extended version of my testimony are available for sale in main lobby. God bless! source:
